You learn a lot of things when you become a Wife and a Mother. One thing I’ve learned is how important it is for everyone to have their own time. Finding it hard to catch up on cleaning? Too tired to cook? Yup, we all do at times. But one thing I’ve finally realized is IT’S OKAY.
If I don’t feel like I’ve got the energy or have the patience I make sure I get 2 things done: I take care of my child then I clean my room. Why my room? It’s my space. And it’s one thing done that I’ll really appreciate. It’s decorated the way I want, I’ve got my Google Home in there to listen to relaxation music, I’ve got my Essential Oil Diffuser and I can close the door.. :p
So once my son goes down for a nap that is MY time. Sometimes I don’t need it, but when I do and don’t want to do anything else while he’s asleep – I clean my room, make my bed and just relax in here. I’m actually doing it RIGHT now and it’s amazing.
Some people don’t take enough time to recenter themselves and empty their minds. Which ends up leaving people feeling overwhelmed and pissy. How do I know? That was me too. Sometimes it can make my family resentful that I need this time but in reality I’m helping them out, hahaha!
So don’t feel guilty about having you time, just do it! And make sure you do it in a space that feels like yours ❥
As an active Mom with an even more active little man I am constantly tired (Like any other parent 😉 ) With fitting in exercise as often as I can, getting us out of the house 4-5 days a week for activities and being a house wife I am constantly on the go and although I’m only 26 I feel it catching up with me where I would welcome a nap with a smile and a mini-mom tear.
So I cannot be thankful enough for my biweekly massage. It isn’t just for releasing stress and aches and pains but preventing my pinch nerve problems in my neck that cause my arms to go numb when I over-exert.
